Coval led his Zephyr team to a State Championship in 1982, then went on to play Division I basketball at William and Mary. In 2015, he reached his 400th win as the head coach for the DeSales men's basketball team. Coval has made such an impact on the court as well as an impact off the court and in his community.

An Historic Rivalry continued Wednesday night between the Lafayette Leopards and the Lehigh Mountain Hawks at Stabler Arena. Both teams looking to get back into the win column after suffering a loss in their last matchup. Lehigh was looking to win it's seventh straight game in the rivalry series against Lafayette.

The Moravian College Football team, like others, are prepping for this 2017 season. This group of players and coaches have a bit of a different mindset during this preseason camp; "just focus on right now". The coaches want the team to come together, get more familiar with each other and work hard during these practices right now, instead of looking too far into the future.

The Moravian women's volleyball team has been hot lately and were looking for their fifth straight win against a tough Wilkes team. The Greyhounds held a gold out that night, raising awareness and funds for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation, which turned out to be just as successful as the Hounds were on the court.

Last week DeSales University hosted the final Small College Luncheon of this season in which athletes from both Men's and Woman's teams from around the Lehigh Valley were honored for Team of the Year and Player of the Year Awards.

With the regular season coming to an end the Northampton Community College Spartans are looking to keep up their stellar play into the postseason. Already with twenty-eight wins this season which marks five consecutive seasons that the Spartans have won twenty-three or more games. The Lehigh, Lafayette rivalry is the longest rivalry in college football. That alone, creates a hype between the two institutions like no other. John Byrne has guided the Moravian College softball program to 786 wins, 3 NCAA DIII World Series appearances and 17 Conference Championships in his first 24 seasons as head coach. The Kutztown University women's soccer team is coming off of a huge 6-0 victory over Clarion, they now face another PSAC opponent as they look to remain perfect on the season. Shippensburg was coming into the contest at 3-8 while the Golden Bears were searching for win number 12 to add to their 11-0 record.

The 17th ranked Lehigh Mountain Hawks took on Villanova this past weekend and were very happy to welcome back their wide receiver, Sasha Kelsey. For three years Kelsey was a member of the Mountain Hawks football team and had battled through a nagging injury that Kelsey pushed through, until one game it became too much. What was believed to be a hamstring issue turned out to be much more serious. After 3+ years of pain and wrong diagnoses, Sasha underwent major surgery in April for a hip fracture and in a short four months of recovery and rehab, the Lehigh wideout is ready for competition. Unlike most soccer camps in the area, where a team or individuals go to a university's home site, head women's soccer coach of Kutztown University, Erik Burstein, traveled to Phillipsburg High School to hold a camp for the Phillipsburg Women's soccer team. The girls were taught many different tactics, drills, and footworks skills but they also realized what it would take to play at the college level.

Nick Zambelli finished his junior campaign with 70 tackles, landing third on the greyhound squad, three interceptions, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble. Zambelli a three-year starter, also earned the "C" on his chest as co-captain for the Hounds this fall, but for Zambelli his accolades extend far beyond the football field.

East Stroudsburg opened their 2017 season with a win against Fairmont State. After that win, they dropped 3 of their last 4 beating Cheyney last Saturday. Another Thursday night tilt and this time it was the Warriors against PSAC East opponent Millersville. The Marauders came into the contest at 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the PSAC.

The Kutztown University women's soccer team was looking to stay perfect on their season as well as trying to take down rival, West Chester. The Golden Rams are coming into the contest at 5-2-1 and looking to be the team to put a ONE in the loss column for the Golden Bears.

The Kuztown Golden Bears are coming off a victory on the road against Mercyhurst but look to get their first victory at home after losing to Assumption in the season opener. The Seton Hill Griffins headed into the contest at 0-2 were looking to capture their first win of the season.

The Kutztown Volleyball head coach John Gump just finished his 30th year of coaching. In the summer, Gump loves to bring out his current players to host a summer volleyball camp. The week long camp consists of 3 different camps within it. The first is for kids ages 12-18 that are looking to develop their fundamental skills. The second is for those at a higher level looking to prepare for their high school seasons or looking to play in college. Finally, there is a team camp where teams from local high schools come to learn and prepare for their upcoming seasons.

Summer time is full of camps all across the Lehigh Valley and for so many different sports and positions. But this camp is different than any other camp we have come across. Lehigh University's second year head field hockey coach Caitlin Dallmeyer, hosted a clinic to teach coaches from all around the area what and how to teach goalkeeping.

After a lifetime of playing soccer together, on the same field and wearing the same jerseys, the eldest Cunningham, Kayla and second eldest, Kourtney would take to the field once more, but this time playing against each other. This year would be Kayla's final year playing the sport at Temple University and the final time the two would ever be on the same field together.

Kevin Cassese is now in his 11th season at Lehigh University as the men's lacrosse head coach where he would get the program to where it is today. With all the accolades he's had, Cassese will now join his counterpart, Jill Redfern, as he will be inducted into the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

There was recently a special film screening in Bethlehem about the story of a certain Villanova football team. An idea started by former Wildcat and Philadelphia Eagle, Brian Westbrook to highlight his alma mater and the rich history of the team. Something only made possible after Westbrook would approach his former teammate and movie director, Hezekiah Lewis III, about this idea.

The Coopersburg native and former Parkette was back in the Lehigh Valley and Kristi had the opportunity to talk with Price about her time on the National Team, at Stanford and what life is like now, as a retired gymnast.

The last time a Lehigh wrestler earned the number 1 seed heading into the NCAA Tournament was 7 years ago. That was Zach Rey, who was the top wrestler in the heavy weight class on his way to a National Title in 2011, now Lehigh adds Darian Cruz to that category. Former Northampton high school and Bucknell University softball pitcher, Alex Mclean, graduated as one of the all time leaders in strikeouts and would turn her passions for the game into a career. The Muhlenberg Soccer Teams hosted their Mules Soccer Academy this week. The annual week long camp which saw young athletes of all ages attend, puts the kids to the test as they work on different skills and drills to become better soccer players.

For just the third time in program history Muhlenberg has made it to the Round of 16 in the NCAA Division III Football Playoffs. The Mules had home-field advantage for their Round of 16 matchup against Randolph-Macon.

A Centennial Conference matchup took place Monday between Muhlenberg and Dickinson. It was the final regular season game for the Mules with big time playoff implications.

Mike Donnelly diagnosed with Leukemia this Spring but will be in attendance on the sidelines until he cannot anymore. The Muhlenberg Football team are certainly happy to have him there and they hope Donnelly can be with him and help them extend their success from the previous years.

The Muhlenberg College community looks to give back by holding an event called Muhlenberg Gives, which is a blood drive run through Miller Keystone Blood Center as well as a Marrow Donation registration through Be The Match. This event started because Coach Donnelly, who was recently diagnosed with Leukemia, needed a bone marrow transplant and there ended up not being a single match throughout the registry. So, Muhlenberg wanted to help in anyway they can, so even though Donnelly is being taken care of (thanks to his daughter being a match), the addition of all of these registrants can possibly help to save another life.

Former Easton grad, Jaryd Flank and recent graduate of Muhlenberg college, looks to do one more thing before his time is over at Muhlenberg. Flank prepares for the NCAA Track & Field Championships where his event will be the Steeplechase.

The Muhlenberg women's basketball team was looking for their eighth straight win as they played host Haverford. The Mules are a perfect 4-0 in conference play and have won their first three Centennial Conference games by more than 24 points.

The Muhlenberg men's basketball team has had a challenging start to their schedule, already playing 3 nationally ranked teams. They are still looking for their first conference win and have only recorded 1 win in 7 games played so far. Rounding out the doubleheader with Haverford, a team they have beaten in the past five meetings.

In a Centennial Conference matchup, the Muhlenberg volleyball team welcomed in Bryn Mawr. The Mules are currently 17-2 on the season and have not lost since September 9th.

A Landmark Conference matchup took place Wednesday night at Johnston Hall between Drew University and Moravian. These two teams met earlier in the season in a matchup Drew won by four points. Entering this showdown Drew was the leader of the Landmark Conference standings, while Moravian was just one game out of first place and a win for the Greyhounds would make it a tie at the top of the standings.

The Lehigh University's women's volleyball program has someone new at the helm. Former Muhlenberg head coach Alexa Keckler would make her debut in their first game of the season against Duquesne. Her winning ways translated over to Lehigh getting their first win of the season and Keckler's first win as head coach.

Lehigh Women's Basketball team is off to a great start on the season. The Mountain Hawks are getting contributions from everyone on the team including a four-legged friend.

Lehigh would open up their season on Saturday with some non-conference play against Saint Francis. After dropping their first 5 games last season, Lehigh would look to start this season on the right foot.

It's the season of giving and that was the case for some Lehigh Athletes as they participated in Lehigh's 20th Annual Adopt-A-Family. Each year for the past two decades the Lehigh Athletic Community has made it their mission to give back to families in the Bethlehem Area and this year they helped more families then ever before.

Hundreds of high school football prospects looking to continue playing at the collegiate level, visited Goodman Campus to go through a combine-like type of camp for a number of college coaches. The camp is run by the Lehigh staff but college coaches locally and regionally came to evaluate players and further them in their recruiting process.

After 8 years with the Muhlenberg women's volleyball team, head coach Alexa Keckler will be moving on to a new gym: Grace Hall of Lehigh University. Who better to continue the legacy Keckler left behind at Muhlenberg, than a former player of hers, Amanda Krampf. Krampf is excited to follow her former coach's footsteps and Keckler believes the program and her girls are left in great hands.

The Lehigh women's lacrosse team is on a roll and no better a time to have momentum like that than before heading into the Patriot League Quarterfinal. Lehigh beat Holy Cross earlier this season but this game would not go as smoothly.

After a disappointing 2-8 season, the Moravian Greyhounds would open the 2018 season against Kings College. Last years season opener also against Kings College would end in a loss for Moravian after a last second field goal. This season Moravian would look to settle the score.

With the NCAA College Basketball Season getting underway, the Moravian College Men's Basketball team tipped off it's season opener Thursday night against John Hopkins.

Moravian softball is ranked 13th in the country in their Division and have been playing some really good softball. They have won 11 games in a row before this game against DeSales where they would look to capture win number 12 as well as another special win for their head coach.

Both the Men's and Women's Moravian Basketball Teams started December on their home court, as a doubleheader was held on Saturday at Johnston Hall. As both the Men's and Women's teams hosted Elizabethtown.

The Moravian baseball team is also having a lot of success this season, they have won 3 consecutive games heading into their matchup against Albright. Not only were they looking for their 4th straight win, but the game would also have an interesting sidebar, with three Moravian juniors on the verge of getting 100 career hits.

The Yasso Rothrock Christmas City Classic takes place each and every year once the basketball season gets underway. Each year they bring in a guest speaker to talk and answer questions from students in the area, and this year former basketball player and now Hall of Fame Broadcaster, Doris Burke was that guest speaker.

The Lehigh Mountain Hawks were looking for their fifth straight win against an 0-5 Mount Saint Mary's team. This was the tenth meeting between these two schools.

The Lehigh Women's soccer team season has begun and their first matchup would be up against a tough Monmouth team. Lehigh and Monmouth would tie in their last two matches against each other in the past two seasons and this game would be more of the same. Although the same outcome from last year, the shots on goal would be the biggest difference.

Sunday's Championship match pitted two Division I Goflers against each other; Tony Sarko from Old Dominion and Cody Cox from Penn State. After advancing in the morning semifinals, Sarko was one win away from becoming the first golfer since, Barry Klinikowski (1990/91) to win back-to-back Amateur crowns.

The Lehigh Softball team is hosting a prospect camp for the Lehigh Valley area. The younger girls get the opportunity to be taught under college athletes and Lehigh gets a look at some future prospects.

A very unique camp going on at the Lehigh River under Lehigh University. The Lehigh Rowing team held a rowing camp for any and all experience levels which just happens to be the only rowing camp in the area.

Men's Lehigh Basketball's, Kahron Ross worked a lot during his offseason and not just on his game... Over the summer he took a trip to East Asia as part of Athletes in Action. It was a mission trip that he went on, the senior point guard is one of 7 Mountain Hawks to take part over the years. Included in that, CJ McCollum, who called it one of the greatest experiences of his career, and after coming home, Ross said he had that same feeling.

The Lehigh football team was in control of its' own destiny heading into the last two home games of the regular season. After the most complete win of the season against Bucknell in the week prior, Lehigh played host to Holy Cross at Goodman Stadium in hopes of another complete win before heading into the Lafayette game.

Former Parkland standout field hockey player, Hannah Pany, is now in her junior year at Ohio State University. Pany traveled with her Buckeye team to Lehigh University this past weekend to face off against the Mountain Hawks. Pany has recently transitioned from midfield to defense this season and helped the Buckeyes to shut out Lehigh in the contest 4-0. A good win for the team and great chance to catch up with some family and friends.

Hannah Edwards was one of the greatest softball players in the Lehigh Valley, playing for and owning many state records under Catasaqua. Edwards committed to Pittsburgh University in her sophomore year of high school but recently decided they were not the best fit for her. For the first time ever, Lehigh University would accept a transfer into their softball program. Good decision Coach Troyan!

Lehigh University Graduate, the 10th overall pick in NBA Draft and easily one the most successful players to come out of Lehigh returned to the Lehigh Valley. Current Trailblazer, McCollum was the guest speaker at the Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) dinner at the ArtsQuest Center with hopes of inspiring all the young athletes in attendance.

One of which is Freshman Center Nic Lynch, an ESPN Top 300 Ranked Recruit from Seattle, Washington who has traveled the country to play College Basketball at Lehigh University.

After a rough start to their wrestling season the Lehigh Mountain Hawks have surely turned it around winning nine out of their last eleven regular season matches three of which were against ranked opponents. The Mountain Hawks kept it rolling in the postseason as they captured the EIWA Championship and are looking to keep the winning momentum on their side as the prepare for Nationals.

The Historic Rivalry of Lehigh and Lafayette continued Wednesday night as the two teams met on the hardcourt. These two teams met earlier in the month in a game that Lehigh won by only three points, and Wednesday nights matchup would take overtime to decide a winner.

The All-Time leading points scorer from Lehigh University also happens to be the only Lehigh Mountain Hawk to ever play in the NBA, which is current NBA Star CJ McCollum. This past Sunday during halftime a ceremony was held for CJ McCollum as Lehigh retired his jersey number from his collegiate playing days.

Two former Lehigh Football standouts are attempting to make their mark at the NFL level as former Running Back Dom Bragalone and Wide Receiver Gatlin Casey were both invited to participate in the New York Giants Minicamp which was held over the past weekend.

After a stellar regular season for the DeSales Bulldogs that ended with a record of 15-1. The Bulldogs entered the Mac Freedom Tournament as the second seed as they hosted Misericordia in a Semifinal matchup on Wednesday. DeSales Men's Lacrosse team entered this showdown against Wilkes University searching for their fifteenth win on the season. DeSales would be looking for some revenge in this matchup as in the last two seasons Wilkes has beaten DeSales both times one of which knocked the Bulldogs out of the playoffs.

The DeSales Men's Lacrosse Team is having one of their best regular season campaigns to date as they enter the final week of the regular season. They are the last remaining unbeaten team in Division III Men's Lacrosse and the Bulldogs are looking to stay undefeated as the postseason gets underway.

The DeSales Men's and Women's Basketball Teams both reached the Mac Freedom Championships with both games being hosted at Billera Hall on Saturday. The doubleheader championship action started off as the number one seeded DeSales Women's team took the court against second seeded Misericordia. DeSales Women's Team was seeking its seventh Mac Freedom Title in program history. While for the DeSales Men's team they entered the Championship game as the number one seed and took on second seeded Wilkes. The Men's team was looking to capture its fourth Mac Freedom Title.

DeSales Baseball Head Coach, Tim Neiman, and the DeSales Baseball Team hosted their Annual Baseball Camp at Weiland Park, last week. Tim Neiman and the Team taught the young athletes the fundamentals of baseball while having fun.
