The DeSales Women’s Volleyball team is gearing up for conference play Wednesday and the team has had over a week to prepare for the defending MAC Freedom champs, Eastern University. Despite sitting with a 4-4 record, the Bulldogs believe they're ready for the challenge, and Head Coach Michele Zabinski believes the team is going to surprise themselves. What gives them this confidence? The out-of-conference matches that Zabinski scheduled. It was probably the most difficult preseason schedule she's ever put together, and that competition is what has prepared this team for what they hope to be another successful year.

The Bulldogs, who are coming off of a big 3-0 sweep over rival Moravian, are picked second in the MAC Freedom preseason poll. The Bulldogs are coming off their fifth straight 20+ win season finishing 23-9 overall and a perfect 7-0 in the MAC Freedom for the second straight season. The team advanced to the MAC Freedom title match for the eighth straight season, falling to Eastern University. To say they want to finally get over the hump is an understatement. There is also a bit of a weight on the team’s shoulders as they look to continue the programs success.

Although it won’t be easy, the Bulldogs looked more then ready in their last outing. Getting the win under their belt before conference play was an added bonus.
