The season may have just started for the Moravian football team, but two games in and so much has already happened! First, the team debuted its new turf in the season opener, when they welcomed in Kings. It is there that they also earned their first shutout since 2010 posting an impressive 24-0 victory.

The following week the Hounds travelled to McDaniel in very wet conditions; and escaped with the 14-9 win in their first Centennial Conference game of the year.

This week though things will be a little different. The Greyhounds welcome in nationally ranked Johns Hopkins, on family day tomorrow afternoon. The game will also be airing LIVE on TV2/502HD. I know the pieces have been falling into place recently; however this will be the Hounds toughest task of the season. The Blue Jays are 1-1 overall and 0-1 in conference play and will be looking to bounce back after falling to Susquehanna last weekend 37-35.

Last fall the Blue Jays ran all over Moravian with the 37-7 victory; and if the Greyhounds want a different outcome they will have to take care of the football.  It will take a complete team effort from a team that boasts 15 returning starters.

The last time the Greyhounds defeated Johns Hopkins was back in 2008.

Kick off is slated for 2:05pm on Saturday and make sure you tune in to TV2 if you can’t make it out to the game!
