The Lehigh Women’s Volleyball team is having quite a season under first-year head coach Alexa Keckler.  The team may be playing a lot of difficult games in a short amount of time, but the Mountain Hawks have been handling it like champs.  In their past two outings, the women have pulled out the victories needing five sets in each.  One of those victories was over Army, for the first time in three years.  The second was on the road against Holy Cross the very next evening.   With their latest victory, the Mountain Hawks improved to 14-2 on the year, but as with any team, there's still work that needs to be done.   The defense has been keeping the team in many matches, but the offense still needs improvement in both passing and shot selection.

The Mountain Hawks have a much-needed break before they welcome in rival Lafayette on Friday night at 7:00 p.m.  It will be Keckler’s first experience with the rivalry and the team is excited to get her the “W.”  The Mountain Hawks are great at defending their home court too, sitting at 7-1 when playing at Grace Hall.

The Leopards are 5-11 on the season, and 0-4 in the Patriot League, but as the Mountain Hawks witnessed on Saturday against Holy Cross (despite getting the win), records are meaningless; especially when playing your rival.
