To say the Desales men's and women’s basketball teams are on a roll would be an understatement. Both squads are riding 9-game winning streaks and are undefeated in the MAC Freedom Conference. And the most impressive part of all is they've been winning games in convincing fashion. On the men’s side, all nine wins have been by double figures. The women are no different. They've won by double digits in eight of their last nine as well. And, their double-digit wins have been by 20+. The women are most recently ranked #21 in D3HOOPS.COM/WBCA Top 25 National Poll, but will truly be tested on Saturday. Traveling to Misericordia, the Bulldogs will take on another undefeated squad. The Cougars sit tied atop the MAC Freedom standings.

The team aspect has been another thing to note for both teams this season. Yes, I’ve already talked about the women plenty, but the men haven’t been too shabby either. In their last outing Junior Tracy Simsick netted a career high 34 points. That finds him a spot in the record book, as it is the seventh most points in a game in DSU history. Senior Luke Connaghan contributed 17 with 6 rebounds, and Junior Julian Wing added 9 points and five rebounds. Sophomore transfer and Emmaus graduate Matt Kachelries was just two assists shy of tying the signal-game record with 13. The men will also be at Misericordia on Saturday, but they should have no issues coming home with the win.
