I was an athlete for most of my life.  Ever since I can remember I was participating in one sport or another.  And no matter how important that game or competition was -in the end it was just that, a game.  The Muhlenberg women’s softball team was reminded of that this weekend.  The Mules were swept by Misericordia falling to 8-13; but more importantly it was their annual “Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer.”

Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer supports children in the area who are battling cancer through the Go4theGoal foundations.  Go4theGoal was founded in 2006 and has one mission: To improve the lives of children battling cancer by providing financial support, developing and implementing unique hospital programs, funding innovative research, and granting personal wishes.

Teams all around the country have become involved for this great cause “lacing up” their sneakers, shoes, cleats whatever it may be to help raise money and awareness!  And all funds stay in the state where they are raised.

You can still donate for this wonderful cause and help the Mules reach their goal by clicking on the link:
