DESALES MEN'S LACROSSE IS ON A ROLL

With just three games remaining in the college regular season, the DeSales men’s lacrosse team is one of just two teams left in NCAA DIII who have yet to lose. The men are currently 13-0 (4-0 in the MAC Freedom) with their most recent win coming on Saturday over FDU Florham.

This season has been quite remarkable considering the guys were picked 3rd in the preseason poll, and finished with a 5-10 overall record just a season ago. The perfect regular season is not a lock however. With just three games remaining, each one will be a battle, but there is one in particular that will be a true test. Now trust me, I know that you can never overlook any opponent especially when they're in the same conference but King’s College is 1-3 and Wilkes is 2-2. Right now, you’re probably looking at those records thinking they should be easy wins, but WAIT for it…. The final game of the season could potentially be two undefeated squads facing off. On April 27, the Bulldogs travel to Eastern University, who was the preseason favorite, in what might be a classic. The Eagles are also currently 4-0 in the conference, but get this….. It took OVERTIME against both King's and Wilkes for them to pull out the victory: the two teams that the Bulldogs still have to face.

DeSales' offense has definitely been clicking all season, scoring in double digits in all but three games. Sophomore Collin Corrado is also having himself a year when it comes to face-offs. It certainly makes the victories come easier when a team wins the majority of face-offs, because chances are they will be controlling the time of possession as well.

Like I said the season is not over yet, however the team has already had such an amazing year. They’ve made history by winning 10+ games in a single season, and the 13 game win streak is the longest in team history. Let’s hope they can close out the way they started!
