A-Town Throwdown Dunk & 3-Point Contest
The A-Town Throwdown was a huge success this past weekend and there was more action than just the tournament style games. They also had a little showcase; the 3-point and slam dunk contests.
PAAC Firecracker Meet
The Fourth of July holiday went all the way through the weekend for Parkland Aquatic Club's 4th Annual Firecracker Meet at the Mack Pool in Allentown. The weather could not have been better for the 600 swimmers and 30 teams competing at the swim meet. Competition would come from all across the Lehigh Valley and all the way from Philadelphia and New Jersey, for the chance to swim in the 50 meter pool.
Easton High School Summer Camps
During the summer kids take every opportunity to hit different summer camps throughout the Lehigh Valley. Easton Area High School was a very busy summer camp location, playing host to both a baseball camp as well as a tennis camp.
Nazareth Youth Football Camp
If you want to be like former Nazareth football player Jahan Dotson and play football at Penn State University, you might want to try out a football camp at his former high school. Each year high schools all across the Lehigh Valley hold summer football camps and at Nazareth, they use it as a chance for the young kids to learn important football skills but also for the high schoolers to get a chance to work with the young kids who look up to them in their community.
Saucon Valley vs. Freedom Girls Lacrosse
The Saucon Valley girls lacrosse team was looking to bounce back after a tough overtime loss to Easton, while Freedom was looking to avenge their loss to Saucon Valley from earlier this season.
Easton & Phillipsburg Meet on the Diamond
There will always be great rivalries between schools, but very few are like the Phillipsburg Easton rivalry. The baseball teams met up Monday night fighting for both a win and the chance to hoist that rivalry trophy in the air.
Liberty & Central Catholic College Signing Day

Liberty and Allentown Central Catholic hosted their Signing Days last week, where they celebrated and honored those student-athletes for making their commitments.
Academic All-Star Breakfast
Over at Green Pond Country Club, they would host the Academic All-Star Breakfast. They would honor 26 scholar-athletes from 13 different Colonial League schools.

Feature on Southern Lehigh Lacrosse Face-off Star
If you know anything about lacrosse you know that the game can either be won or lost on the face-off 'X'. For Southern Lehigh, that certainly is not an area that they have struggled in. Thanks to Mike Sisselberger, they have won a lot of face-offs and a lot of games because of it. Emmaus with a tough week taking on two District Champions in their respective classes, Allentown Central Catholic being one of those. A big test for both teams as Emmaus was looking to take down the Vikings who were coming off two straight wins, while the Hornets were looking to bounce back after their first loss of the season against Wilson West Lawn.
Headstrong Lacrosse Clinic at Southern Lehigh
The Southern Lehigh lacrosse programs recently held a clinic for a very special cause: the Headstrong Foundation. Founded in memory of Nick Colleluori, a Hofstra lacrosse player who passed away from non Hodgkins lymphoma in 2006. The foundation's mission is to improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their families.

The Liberty boys were looking to bounce back after their loss to Emmaus, while Northampton was aiming for win number 3-in-a-row as well as their first win in league play.

Saquon Barkley Day Parade
In a town that stretches less than a square mile, would be home to a parade that would celebrate a star both on and off the field. Saquon Barkley: you might remember him from his time at Whitehall where he would hurdle his opponents, or from Penn State University where the hurdling only continued. But for all that he has done on the field, a day dedicated to him wasn't just about those accomplishments, but also for the guy he is off the field. Thousands would show up in the town of Coplay, PA to celebrate Saquon. To wish him the best of luck in his new journey in the NFL in less than a month, but also to celebrate his parents for raising the man into who he is today in the "little town that could".
Emmaus Boys Lacrosse Under 1st Year Head Coach: Desi Gonzalez
Desi Gonzalez started his lacrosse coaching journey as an assistant coach at Emmaus high school where he helped to lead them to back to back District titles. From there, he went to Southern Lehigh to help lead that program to its' first District title, but now back at his roots at Emmaus as 1st year head coach, where he hopes to get the program back to its glory of another DXI Championship.
Central Catholic Boys Lacrosse Gear Up For 2018 Season
The Allentown Central Catholic boys lacrosse team has started their training indoors at the Iron Lake Sports Club. The Vikings are coming of their best season ever, winning both the EPC and District XI 2A Championships. They would win their first round game in PIAA States but would eventually lose in the quarterfinal round. The team is looking to take it a step further this year with high hopes of another run in the state playoffs.
LVHN High School Football Combine
Over the winter time and offseason, a lot of high football players like to use that time to get in shape and hit the weights. Well, they were looking to see if all of that offseason training paid off at the LVHN high school football combine challenge.

Central Catholic and Nazareth Girls Basketball in EPC Quarterfinal
Central and Nazareth met on Monday for one of the quarterfinals game of the EPC Girls Tournament. The Vikettes making a return to the tournament after missing out the last couple of seasons. The Blue Eagles made it to the semifinals where they would lose to Easton. Both teams coming into the matchup with 11-5 records.
PIAA Team Wrestling Championship
It was one year ago that the Bethlehem Catholic wrestling team would lose in a nail-biter to the Nazareth Blue Eagles. This year would be a little bit different. The Hawks of Becahi would have a wonderful ending for both the team and head coach, Jeff Karam.
Wilson Defeats #4 Seed Catasauqua
The boys Colonial League quarterfinal took place on Saturday afternoon at the home court of Catasauqua. Earlier in the season Wilson defeated Catty, but by only a 5 point margin. A completely different story this time around as Wilson takes down Catsauqua in demanding fashion. The Warriors now look to avenge their regular season losses to Bangor in the Colonial League Championship.
Saucon Valley vs. Wilson in 2A District XI Wrestling Championship
District XI Championship wrestling was on tap at Freedom High School this past weekend. While the 3A finals were held on one side of the mat, the other side of the gym hosted the 2A Championship between Wilson and Saucon Valley. The Warriors were looking to take down the reigning District Champs, while the Panthers were hoping for their third straight title.
Liberty's Alex Serrano Marks 1,000
In EPC play, it was Liberty and Freedom meeting with more than just the city rivalry on the line. The two both needed a win in order to keep their postseason hopes alive. As well as one Liberty senior who was looking to join the schools' rather exclusive 1,000 point club.
Palisades vs. Southern Lehigh in Colonial League Girls Basketball
Southern Lehigh is the only team in the Colonial League with a perfect league record. Palisades a top team in the Colonial League East Division, with a 8-5 league record, looked to be the first to put a one in that loss column for the the Spartans.
Northampton Upsets Bethlehem Catholic in Boys Basketball
The Northampton boys basketball team traveled to Bethlehem Catholic hoping to beat a team with just one loss for the second time in two nights. The K-Kids knocked off Central Catholic Thursday night in a convincing 60-45 win to hand them their second loss in a row. Bethlehem Catholic's only loss is from Abington over a month ago and currently on a 9 game win streak.
Yasso Rothrock Christmas City Classic - Girls Triple Header
The boys held their triple header at Liberty High School while the girls were across town at Freedom. 6 games total, all played for a really great cause and in memory of Todd Rothrock and George Yasso.
Lehigh Valley Round Ball JAMboree Tournament
In the back half of the quadruple it would be Parkland vs. Hazleton and Whitehall vs. Nazareth. Parkland's game was non-conference matchup, where Whitehall and Nazareth would be competing in what would count as a regular season, EPC game.
Northampton vs. Emmaus Girl's Basketball
Two teams battling in the EPC in Northampton vs. Emmaus. Northampton was looking to stay undefeated while Emmaus was looking to get their first win of the season. Northampton Head Coach, Jeff Jacksits now the all-time leader in wins at Northampton.
Northwestern vs. Lower Dauphin in Boy's Soccer PIAA 3A State Final
The Northwestern boy's soccer team was back in Hershey for the second straight year, but this time they were hoping for a different outcome. In last year's PIAA 3A State Semifinal they faced Lower Dauphin and lost 3-0.
Phillipsburg vs. Irvington in Sectional Semifinal
The Phillipsburg football team was looking for a win against Irvington in the North 2 Group 4 Semifinal on Friday with the hopes of continuing on to their eighth sectional Championship.
Northwestern Lehigh Boy's and Girl's Soccer in PIAA Semifinal Action
Both the Northwestern boy's and girl's soccer teams were in the PIAA State Semifinals, where they would play a doubleheader at Upper Perk on Tuesday night. The girls up first against Saint Basil and the boys to follow against Archbishop Wood.
Colonial League Cheerleading Championship
While some football teams in District XI have seen their seasons come to an end, the football teams biggest fans: the cheerleaders, had a competition of their own in search of the crown.
District XI 4A Girls Volleyball - Freedom vs. Parkland & Nazareth vs. Liberty
After defeating Central Catholic for the EPC Title the Liberty Hurricanes would take down Whitehall to earn heir spot in the District XI 4A Semifinal to face the Nazareth Blue Eagles. In the other semifinal matchup, it would be Freedom vs. Parkland.
Easton vs. Emmaus Boy's & Girl's in District XI 4A Soccer Semifinal
It would be the same two schools competing on both the boys and girls soccer teams. The District XI 4A soccer semifinals took place at Whitehall High School with the boys up first and the girls to follow.
Palisades vs. Northwestern Girls District XI 2A Championship
In the third game this season between the two teams, Palisades and Northwestern, the two would battle for the District XI 2A Title. Northwestern was coming in as the one seed while Palisades the 2. The last time Northwestern won the District Title was in 2014, while the Palisades program has never clinched that title.
Liberty vs. Nazareth High School Football
One team turning heads of late is the Nazareth Blue Eagles, after a big win over Freedom they have only improved from there. Liberty and Nazareth came into Friday's matchup, both in must-win situations and looking to solidify their playoff berths.
Stroudsburg vs. Whitehall High School Football
Stroudsburg traveled to Whitehall on Friday looking to feed off their previous win over Central Catholic. The Zephyrs were coming off a 56-14 loss to Bethlehem Catholic and hoping to get back on track.
Central Catholic vs. Parkland in Girl's Volleyball
The Central Catholic girl's volleyball team has has been having a one of a kind season, racking up 12 straight wins and remaining undefeated. The Vikettes were looking to do something no team has done yet this season, beat Parkland for the second time.
Freedom and Emmaus Go Gold!
Going back to last weekend, Freedom hosted Emmaus on the gridiron but instead of it being just another game, the Patriots and the Hornets got together to raise awareness for Pediatric Cancer.
Emmaus Hosts EPC Cross Country Meet
It was senior day for the Emmaus Boys and Girls Cross Country runners. The Hornets welcomed in five other EPC squads to Lehigh Valley Parkway, for what could be a decisive meet, come the postseason.
Moravian Academy vs. Southern Lehigh Field Hockey
The Moravian Academy field hockey team have won 7 straight games and they looked to keep that streak going heading into the game against Southern Lehigh. The Spartans are coming into the contest at 11-2.
Parkland vs. Emmaus Girl's Volleyball
The Green Hornets put an end to a winning streak (in matchplay) that started in 2009 for the Parkland Trojans. Not only did they win but they swept them in 3 sets. If that isn't enough motivation to get the win this time around, then I don't know what is. Both teams were coming into the contest with only two losses on the season.
Emmaus vs. Central Catholic Girl's Volleyball
The Allentown Central Catholic girl's volleyball team continues their reign in the East Penn Conference. They remain undefeated heading into the match against an Emmaus team, with only one loss and a huge win over a dominant Parkland team. As one would probably expect.. this game was certainly not for the faint of heart.
Southern Lehigh vs. Saucon Valley Girl's Soccer
The Southern Lehigh girl's soccer team hosting a team undefeated Colonial League team in, Saucon Valley. The defending Colonial League Champions may just be the team do finally give the Panthers their first loss.
Southern Lehigh vs. Bangor in Girl's Field Hockey
Southern Lehigh coming into the game at 9-2 and looking to use the home field advantage against an undefeated Bangor team. The last time the two met was in the District XI 2A Title game where Southern Lehigh came out on top, could they do it again this year?
