EPC GOLF SEES CHANGE, NOT SO IN COLONIAL

Those happy faces belong to the Liberty golf team after winning the EPC tournament Tuesday at Woodstone Country Club, the school's first since 2007. Last year the Hurricanes finished well back in 9th place and hadn't been a factor for years. Nazareth was 3rd after winning the last two, not bad for a team with only one top five golfer back. Emmaus won the regular season with a 14-1 record. Emmaus appears to have yet another standout female on the heels of Samantha Fritzinger graduating with freshman Michelle Cox winning the girl's competition. Service Electric is proud to have both trophies honoring the memory of our late president John Walson Jr.

Over in the Colonial League, Moravian Academy is in the midst of a dynasty. The Lions won their 4th straight team title Monday. The seniors went 52-0 over that span in regular season matches. This group of kids shows class on the links and said all the right things after the tournament.

Same can be said for both boys medalists Moravian senior Drew Warner and Central's Matt Kalamar.
As we look ahead to Districts next month, the game of golf again shows how it can help mold the character of teenagers in a positive way and give us a glimpse of future success stories.
