There is something about Fall that just makes me happy. You walk outside and smell that crisp fresh air, leggings, boots, carving pumpkins and trying pumpkin everything! I mean pumpkin has become such a craze; there is not one thing that you can’t buy. Pumpkin coffee, pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin cheerios, pumpkin pop-tarts, just to name a few. I recently bought pumpkin butter. But there is more than just the food that makes me love the season. Every year I make a list of things for my family to do. Fall Festivals, hayrides, scarecrow contests, pumpkin picking (which we did this weekend), farm visits, Oktoberfest (which I admit I don’t get to as much as I would like with two kids!) and so much more. This weekend didn’t feel like Fall, in fact it felt more like Summer. Which stinks. Fall is such a short season and the perfect 70-degree weather is often hard to get. In two weeks, I scheduled fall pictures at a horse farm, with pumpkins and haystacks, it should look super cute! Well key word is SHOULD be. I’ll let you know how that goes with a toddler who refuses to look at the camera and one year old who doesn’t sit still! But I can hope that the day is a success!

I’m also a sucker for Hallmark movies. It started with just the Christmas ones, but now I find myself looking forward to the Saturday night movie after the kids are in bed. (Lame I know. But, as a mom of two young kids, I don’t think I could make it out even if I wanted to!) Fall Festival is the current theme, and well I now want to go to Vermont, check out even more fall festivals, and I am really disappointed it was too cloudy on Thursday to see the Harvest Moon.

Then there is Halloween. I’m not really a fan of scary movies, or haunted houses anymore, but I do enjoy Halloween. I love seeing how creative people are, and taking Tommy out for candy (who is going to be Chase from Paw Patrol.) By the way Trick-or-Treating is not just a one-night thing anymore. There are Trunk-or-Treats, Halloween Parades, Boo at the Zoo and so much more! Yes, I try to hit them all, but not because my son needs anymore sugar, he certainly does not. But, because I love being outside in the fall, taking in the fresh air, with a pumpkin latte in hand, seeing the smiles on my families face.

So I hope everyone has a wonderful fall they can enjoy, and a Happy Halloween!!
