The Desales Volleyball team is playing with all the confidence in the world right now and they very well should be.  With last nights victory over Misericordia the team improved to 4-0 in the MAC Freedom Conference and 13-5 overall. But, the most impressive win this season is over Eastern University; the defending conference champs, and preseason favorites. The Bulldogs snapped the Eagles 84-match unbeaten streak in the MAC Freedom, yes you read that right 84 matches. The Bulldogs are only playing with two seniors on the roster, however they brought back a lot of talent from the year prior. And while Head Coach Michele Zabinski saw the potential in her team, she did not know they would be playing so well this early on. “We’re very young so I didn’t know exactly how things would progress, but the youth clicked with the upper classman very early so I definitely saw the potential right from the beginning with what they could succeed with.”

The Bulldogs still have 11 matches remaining in the season, including one tournament, and the team is aware the early season success is a step in the right direction of achieving their main goal. A Championship. The Bulldogs have only won one title in program history which came back in 2007, but if the team keeps playing as well as they have been they could be bringing home another in 2017.
