There's No Crying in Baseball. Or Is There?

A teary eyed Tim Neiman probably knew after the fourth inning, that the Desales baseball season was coming to an end on Sunday afternoon.  The Bulldogs would fall 8-0 in the MAC championship game, to the powerhouse that is Misericordia.  It would be the Cougars seventh straight title.

The Bulldogs could never get anything going, and not for lack of effort. Misericordia is just that good. They made the plays they needed, both offensively and defensively.  Combine that with too any mistakes on the Bulldogs side, and you see the end result.

Although the season comes to an end sooner then the Bulldogs had hoped, it is still one for the books.  Head coach Tim Neiman recorded his 700th win this season (finishing with 708) becoming the 34th coach in the history of NCAA Div. III to win 700 games, and the first coach at Desales. As a team the bulldogs had another 20 win season, the 23rd in Neiman’s 28 years.

Congrats guys on a great year!
