Moravian Field Hockey Seeks Improvement with New Head Coach

I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say that no one was surprised when the Moravian College field hockey team found themselves searching for a new head coach after the 2016 season.  The Greyhounds went 0-16 last year, scoring just five goals all season.

But, that is in the past and I’m also pretty sure the women do not want to be reminded of that. So looking ahead…. The Greyhounds hired Kristen Gillis on April 17th. Gillis has had a few years of coaching experience, with the last two being spent in New Hampshire; where she was the Head Field Hockey Coach at New England College. Gillis will keep on Emily Marley as her assistant. Marley is also a Moravian alum, who had a reputable playing career.

The Greyhounds just released their 2017 schedule and they will open up the new era against rival Desales on Saturday September 2 at 1pm.
