Bron Holland had a great high school career at Bangor in the 1980’s leading the Slaters to a couple of titles, including the 1988 District Championship against Central Catholic.

During his playing days, Holland scored 1,619 career points to go along with 1,032 career rebounds, both of which are still school records today.

After a successful college career at LaSalle, Holland would eventually move to the coaching ranks, first at Pocono Mountain East where he compiled 227 wins and most recently at his alma mater, where he has 179 wins in 11 seasons.

His teams have dominated the Colonial League, winning the last three titles and four in the last five years. In the last two seasons, the Slaters are 35-1 against league foes, including a 70-43 win of Salisbury earlier this week.

Over the last seven years, since the start of the 2010-11 season, Bangor has totally dominated league competition, compiling a record of 108-10. Included during that stretch, two undefeated years, going 16-0 in 2010-11 and 17-0 last year (2016-17).

Despite the loss of four starterS to graduation, Bangor is 1-0 this year and once again the team to beat as they look for their 4th straight championship.
