The Buffer From Summer Sports to Fall Sports

August 16, 2017

Musikfest is scheduled for ten total days in early August and puts our Sport Scene show on hold while we go into music mode. It comes at the best time to take a break from the sports world, which locally comes to a slow grind at that time anyway. It also gives us a chance to be Ryan Seacrest!
When Musikfest came to an end this year on August 13th, the next day the fall sports season was suddenly thrust upon us! The first official day of pre-season for both high school and college teams prepping for their fall season ahead.
Before Musikfest, July is mostly summer leagues for high school teams and sports camps, with a few golf tournaments sprinkled here and there. These things begin to become a little repetitive so Musikfest hits us as just the righht time. Now we're talking about quarterbacks and defensive strengths! The heat of summer isn't as intense which also adds to the perception that the nights of pigskins flying and marching bands playing, isn't far away. And yet... the month of August is only half over, but the fall sports coverage for TV2 Sports Scene will be here sooner than we think.
