The wait is just about over for the Lehigh Mountain Hawks as they get ready for the 2017 football training camp, which begins on Monday. Lehigh will have the targets on their back this season, as they come in not only as defending Patriot League Champions but also a preseason favorite.

I had a chance to stop by at Lehigh today to talk with head coach Andy Coen, who can't wait until his team hits the practice field. One thing that Coen is pleased about is seeing more then 50 players voluntarily come together for workouts which he feels will bring this team closer together.

While he’s also excited about his new starting quarterback Brad Mayes and Preseason All-American candidates in running back Dom Bragalone and wide receiver Troy Pelletier, the 12th year head coach wanted to talk about his offensive line. This solid core will be anchored by fifth year seniors and team captains Zach Duffy and Brandon Short, which will ultimately bring that experience right onto thei field.

Lehigh will open the season at home on September 2 against Villanova.
